Mark your calendars! Back in Action starring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz is coming in January 2025

Netflix has signaled that its in the mood to have us fall in love with spies over the next couple of months. Nov. 21 will see the debut of A Man on the Inside, which stars Ted Danson as a man going undercover in a senior living community. Black Doves, starring Keira Knightley as a spy avenging the death of her husband, premieres Dec. 5. And, come January 17, Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz will be embarking on their own thrilling spy adventure in Back in Action.

The well-known and beloved pair play Matt and Emily, two former CIA agents who had settled down, and were out of the game, before they were unceremoniously dragged back into it because they're cover's blown. If you're looking for an action fare that also doesn't take itself too seriously, this is the film for you. Great fight sequences and comedy go hand-in-hand in this movie as the married couple navigate keeping themselves and their children alive.

As the teaser trailer shows, the ball gets rolling on the action-adventure at a gas station with the kids safely inside, watching as their parents handle the operatives trying to take them out. Between lighting the gas coming from the pump on fire, and some serious up and personal combat, Emily and Matt are flexing their old skills and Emily is loving it!

She tells Matt that she does love their life but obviously something was missing as their lives being kicked into overdrive has revitalized her. The teaser for Back in Action doesn't give much away. We do know that the former spies' children weren't aware of their past but their daughter had caught on that they were hiding something. She just didn't think they were cool enough to be globe-trotting, tough as nails agents who can take out a slew of enemies without really breaking a sweat.

Besides Foxx and Diaz, the movie stars Kyle Chandler, Glenn Close, Andrew Scott, Jamie Demetriou, McKenna Roberts, and Rylan Jackson. We should be in for quite the ride with this one. You're definitely going to want to mark your calendar and add the film to your watch list, and don't forget to bring the popcorn!
