NBC sets February 2025 premiere date for The Hunting Party!

NBC has three new scripted series premiering during the midseason of their 2024-2025 television schedule. We're certainly excited for Suits LA and Grosse Pointe Garden Society, but we're really looking forward to The Hunting Party. We here at Americans Undercover love a crime drama and if you're a fan of FBI: Most Wanted, then this procedural is going to be right up your alley.

Premiering Monday, Feb. 3, 2025 at 10 p.m. ET, The Hunting Party follows a group of investigators who've been tasked with finding the most dangerous killers in the United States. They're a small crew hand-picked for this endeavor but their mission is top secret. See, the criminals they're tracking down have escaped from a prison that no one is supposed to know exists. It's one of those off the grid, need to know, hush hush sort of facilities.

Who's a part of the team? Well, there's Rebecca "Bex" Henderson, played by Melissa Roxburgh (Manifest), a former FBI agent and our lead. She's described, per Deadline, as being obsessively curious, shrewd, and steadfast which makes her a great profiler and it's why she's been recruited to this task force.

Two alums of The Flash--Patrick Sabongui and Sara Garcia--have been tapped to star as Ryan Hassani and Jennifer Morales, respectively. Ryan is a CIA agent and the task force's crisis manager. He's world-worn and rugged but it's like nothing touches him since he has a casual air to how he operates. Jennifer is an Army major and intel officer who hasn't let her rough upbringing stop her from being a natural optimist and having a bright attitude.

Shane Florence, played by Josh McKenzie (La Brea), has intimate knowledge about the facility the prisoners broke out of as he's one of the guards. Characterized as sincere, selfless, and charismatic, Shane will likely be the one to supply Bex with as much information as he can about the inmates he'd known. As for his background, he's a veteran who served as a soldier in Iraq.

Rounding out the cast are Nick Wechsler (Revenge) and Kyra Leroux (Riverdale). Wechsler has been cast as Oliver Odell, a brilliant but reckless profiler whose charm wasn't enough to save his career from ending in disgrace. He's also Bex's former FBI partner and the love of her life though they're no longer together.

Leroux plays Bex's adopted daughter, Samantha Henderson, who's in her first year of college. She's 18 years old but has already survived enough trauma to last a lifetime. Samantha is described as precocious and funny. She's also very close to Bex. Their separation due to her pursuing her degree, and possibly because of Bex being on the task force as well, has been difficult for them both.

The Hunting Party is a high concept procedural. Each episode will focus on a prisoner the team is looking for. The premiere is titled "Richard Harris." Check out the first look images for the series below!
