It's finally that time of the year, Law and Order Thursdays are back, y'all! We can expect new episodes for the flagship and SVU to premiere on Thursday, Oct. 3 starting at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. Second window folks, you know the drill, new episodes will be available to stream on Peacock on Fridays.

With how to watch out of the way, I do have to remind you that Law and Order: Organized Crime is no longer a staple at the network. But we don't have to say goodbye to Stabler. His show lives on, it'll just be on Peacock. Season 5's premiere date hasn't been announced. We'll keep you posted here at Americans Undercover on that news. Now dive into what we can expect in the premieres, and I'll also share some of what's coming in each season!

Law and Order season 24

Season 24 kicks off the franchise's two hour block with "Catch and Kill," an episode that will introduce the new lieutenant, Jessica Grady. She's a tough as nails boss who likes to be a part of the mix...as in she's out in the field. Led by her gut, Jessica has a way she does things and she expects to be listened to. Riley will find himself struggling to adjust to her leadership style in the premiere. Expect them to work through these issues for a bit.

The case of the week centers on a Brooklyn prosecutor who was murdered in her apartment. Seeking justice, Maroun will be willing to go to some drastic measures to get an eyewitness to speak up. The season opener sounds like a standard case but, by episode 2, we'll be dropped into one that boggles the mind a bit.

Spoilers ahead for Law and Order season 24

It's centered on an AI dating app and it brings both Olivia Benson and Rita Calhoun to the flagship. This time, it'll be Grady and Benson bumping heads during a murder investigation. The problem stems from a legal matter that they have differing ideas on how to handle. Perhaps this may be something Calhoun has an opinion on as well.

As for when we'll see Kelli Giddish pop up on the procedural, the wait won't be too long. She makes her first appearance in episode 4 (Oct. 24), "Divide and Conquer," and episode that's set to fill us in on how she's handling her duties as a sergeant in the NYPD's Intelligence Unit and with her partner Det. Vince Corgan (John Clarence Stewart).

Law and Order: SVU season 26

SVU's season opens with "Fractured," a case that will see the team investigating an attack on a group of law students. It's Benson's hope that a hidden camera that's been discovered will break their case wide open so they can find the perpetrator of such a brutal crime. As for the law side of the equation, Carisi thinks that the best way they're going to be able to get a conviction is if they can catch the defendant lying.

A new detective has joined the team for season 26. TVLine reports Kate Silva (Juliana Aidén Martinez) used to be a homicide cop. She's "paying penance" for something that happened but that won't be immediately revealed as there will be a slow unpacking of that aspect of her story.

We're in for a good start to this TV Year's Law and Order Thursdays. Stay tuned to Americans Undercover for coverage.
