Donna Mills guest starred in NCIS season 22's Halloween episode, here's what happened!
NCIS season 22's Halloween episode, "The Trouble with Hal" had a huge guest star in Donna Mills. It also allowed us to see inside some of the relationships on the show. Plus, McGee seemed to be doing an investigation of his own.
It all started when Bryce Prescott returned home from overseas only to find squatters in his house. When the team came to investigate, they learned the man, Hal, was dead in the basement. They eventually learned his real name was Felix and he had recently been released from prison.
Prescott is the grandson of two wealthy individuals and his grandmother Wanda (Mills) has multiple properties that were put on a rental app without her knowledge. Felix had apparently rented them all out and he had an old magazine she was horrified to discover existed.
Apparently, treasure hunters took an innocent quote her husband said about family being treasured and thought it meant they had hidden treasure. So Felix had been attempting to look for the treasure himself when he was killed.
His girlfriend had tried to continue the heist, but her attempts allowed the team to discover who the real killer was. The team also helped reunite Wanda and Bryce with a chest of mementos they thought was lost in a fire years ago.
Overall, "The Trouble with Hal" was light-hearted and it brought up the question of Ducky’s office space. The team had different ideas for how it could be used as long as Director Vance approved.
In fact, he liked everyone’s ideas so much that he decided it could be used as a multi-purpose room. So Kasie could have time to meditate, Parker could enjoy a quiet spot for lunch, and there was even a small gym area.
One person who didn’t make use of the new office space was McGee, who seems to be looking into Gabriel DeLaroche, who was revealed to be the mole and is now the Deputy Director of NCIS. He will need to be careful if he investigates DeLaroche even though they are aware is the mole that leaked information about Torres in episode one.
So far, this season of NCIS has done a good job of setting up future storylines, such as Parker’s feelings about almost dying in the season 21 finale, and showing us where Palmer and Knight are after their break-up. We’re looking forward to seeing what the rest of the season has in store.
NCIS airs Mondays on CBS at 9/8c. You can catch up the next day on Paramount+. Stay tuned to Americans Undercover for coverage and follow us on X for more content.
