FBI: Most Wanted season 6 is getting an early crossover! (Which agent is working with the Fugitive Task Force?)
It looks like we’ve got our first FBI crossover of the season happening! Find out who’s popping up on FBI: Most Wanted!
The FBI shows on CBS have always enjoyed some crossovers, going back to when FBI’s first season had a “backdoor pilot” for FBI: Most Wanted. It continued with characters showing up now and again. 2021 had an epic three-part crossover that introduced FBI: International.
More crossovers have followed, with another three-parter across all three shows in 2023. There have also been characters showing up on other series connected in ways like the long-standing relationship between FBI agents Stuart Scola (John Boyd) and Nina Chase (Shantel VanSanten) who share a child and are still together even with Nina now a part of FBI: Most Wanted. There was also an episode of FBI: International where Jubal journeyed to Budapest to help the Fly Team on a case that had a personal connection to him.
The most common crossover has been Isobel Castille (Alana De La Garza) showing up on FBI: Most Wanted. It makes sense as Isobel is a special agent in charge, so it would be logical to arrive and direct the team on cases. It's usually just a brief cameo at the start of an episode. Isobel prefers meeting the team in person rather than over a video call.
Isobel has made 12 appearances so far on FBI: Most Wanted, and TV Insider has broken the news of her upcoming appearance in season 6!
When does Isobel Castille appear in FBI: Most Wanted season 6?
Season 6, Episode 2, “Varsity Blues,” has the Fugitive Task Force set to hunt a missing teen from New Jersey who has a connection to a classmate’s recent suicide. It will also touch on newlyweds Ray (Edwin Hodge) and Cora (Caroline Harris), with Cora feeling Ray and his dad (Steven Williams) are putting too much pressure on Cora’s son Caleb (Ja’Siah Young). Isobel appears to be doing her usual brief cameo to meet the team and give them some extra instructions.
Executive producer David Hudgins shared how this appearance highlights the wonderful way the FBI shows connect.
"That is one of the great things about the FBI world is that we can do that. And I love Alana, who I’ve actually worked with before. We did a pilot together before she was on FBI. She’s great. So every chance we can, we want to bring her in and we want to make her feel like—in my head, these people all work in the same building. They do work in the same building. And so it’s very easy and seamless to have her come in and she’s always great. And so between that and the setup we have now with Nina [Shantel VanSanten] being on our show, but also dating Scola [John Boyd], who’s on the other show, we’ve got some crossover there coming as well in the Nina story. So I just think it’s kind of unique about these franchises that we have the ability to do that and it works well within the conceit of the show because they are all right there."
It’s possible we’ll get more FBI crossovers over the season although there’s no word on whether there’s going to be another three-part event. Most likely Isobel or Jubal will drop in via video screen for an update on a case. Or Scola or Nina will crossover like they did last televion season. Still, Isobel coming in is another sign of how the FBI shows interconnect for more entertainment for fans.
