For those of you who love spy thrillers and are fans of Michael Fassbender, you’re in for a treat. Paramount+ and Showtime will be releasing the first two episodes of a new series that will take you into the secretive world of the CIA. Follow along as we fill you in on the brand new drama, The Agency.

Based on the French series Le Bureau des Légendes, which is under the title The Bureau in international markets, The Agency follows Fassbender’s character, who is known as Martian, after he is made to go back to London Station after having lived his life undercover.

However, things get complicated when the love of his life returns, which leads to a battle between what his heart wants and how it will impact his career, his current mission, and his own identity. This leads them both to be involved in what is described as “international intrigue and espionage.”

Another top name attached to the show is Jodie Turner-Smith, who is set to portray Social Anthropology professor Samia Zahir, who has a connection to Martian in their shared past. Another person close to Martian will be played by actor Jeffrey Wright.

Wright’s character, Henry, is described as being a mentor to Martian and he holds the title of Director of Operations at London station. Another well known name in the cast is Dominic West, who may be familiar to fans of Netflix’s The Crown as he played Prince Charles. West’s character is said to be the Director of the CIA.

Acclaimed actor Richard Gere is also set to star in the series, which includes executive producers George Clooney and Grant Heslov. Gere’s character, Bosko, is the Chief of London Station and has his own story after being an undercover agent for eight years.

The rest of the cast includes Jon Magaro, Hugh Bonneville, India Fowler, Katherine Waterston, Alex Reznik, and Saura Lightfoot-Leon to name a few! It looks like it is going to be an amazing series to watch!
