Paris Has Fallen is the new television series based on the action movie franchise Has Fallen starring Gerard Butler. It has already been released in France, but is due to be released Dec. 6 on Hulu in the U.S. after a successful debut. Touted as a spin-off of the Has Fallen franchise, it will be a fun watch for fans of the original!
The series stars Tewfic Jallab, who plays Vincent Taleb, who is assigned to protect the French Minister. He must work with an MI6 operative, Zara Taylor (Ritu Arya), which eventually leads them to discovering a bigger plot to harm the politician. Specifically, they must protect him from a terrorist group leader named Jacob Pearce.
StudioCanal is behind the show and, according to chief commercial officer Anne Chérel, the goal was to take the series and go to other cities in order to tell more stories. “It will obviously depend on how successful the series is in France, but also in other geographies,” she said, per Deadline.
In addition to StudioCanal, the project also has the backing of Urban Myth Films, and then Millenium Media and G-Base, which is Butler’s company. So with the television spin-off available for viewing in the U.S. on Hulu in December, where can you watch the Has Fallen films? Here's what we know!
Olympus Has Fallen

Olympus Has Fallen is the first film in the franchise and was released in 2013. It focuses on Butler’s Mike Banning, who had been a secret service agent before he failed in protecting the First Lady, Margaret Asher, wife of president Benjamin Asher, after a car accident that preceded the events of the film. However, he is called into action after a terrorist group holds the White House and everyone inside hostage, including the president. The film stars Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Dylan McDermott, Cole Hauser, and Ashley Judd.
London Has Fallen

The second film in the franchise was released in 2016 and follows Manning as he provides security for President Asher while going to London for a funeral. However, when they arrive to mourn the British Prime Minister, they discover Islamic terrorists are on the attack in an effort to assassinate all of the world leaders in attendance. Many of the same cast members from the first film returned, and other stars also were in the film including Robert Forster, Melissa Leo, Radha Mitchell, and Alon Abutbul.
Angel Has Fallen

Released in 2019, this film follows Banning as he is accused of being part of an assassination attempt against U.S. President Allan Trumbull. He is being framed and hunted by the FBI, who believe as the survivor of the attack besides the President, he had to be involved.
Banning goes on the run as he attempts to clear his name and find out what truly happened. Stars of the film also include Morgan Freeman, Jada Pinkett Smith, Lance Reddick, Piper Perabo, Nick Nolte, and Danny Huston.
There are plans for a fourth film called Night Has Fallen, which has yet to be released. We will keep you updated on information as we learn more about the fourth movie in the franchise.
